Research done
This weekend I have spent researching five games.
Again the games i researched were:
1. Shadow Fiend
2. Lurking Darkness
3. Bone structure
4. A Sucker for Blood
5. Zombie Mansion
When i was researching Nr:4 “A Sucker for Blood” I discovered something funny… a game called Mister Mosquito that is basically the exact game. This is very thoughtful in the way that now i know how meaningful it can be to research something before you work.
I have been using the site www.giantbomb.com, Johan in my class recommended it for me and I found it very useful. Best part about it was that I could just type in a word, for example “Mosquito” and all the games involving mosquitos would pop up so that I could read up on them and see and compare vs. my ideas.
Anyways so now I sent in the document containing the research to Anna Kaisa, in the mail i asked if there was anything more to add to the research before I save them in PDF (which was suggested). If all is in order she will chose the next two games for my next part, prototyping. If she thinks there are still stuff to be added to my research I will add that before I start prototyping.
If I haven’t gotten any answer tomorrow I will probably start looking into prototyping a bit since I will use Game Maker for one protoype and paper and pen for one. I will most likely write tomorrow about the situation, see you then!
